"Arekman-Stiftung für Entwicklungshilfe e.V." wurde überwiegend von Personen mit marokkanischer Herkunft gegründet, um Prespektiven zu schaffen. Er ist unabhängig und überparteilich und wurde am 15.07.2021 mit dem Sitz in Bergheim gegründet.
